Here we deployed standards-based, modern development technologies (e.g. J2EE and Browser-Based Thin Client Computing-B2TC2) and architectures together with a strong knowledge of business workflow. The union of these disciplines gave birth to BScaler the company, Enterprise Resource Management™ the concept and ERM™ the product.

The Team

Begun in 2001, the BScaler Project Team conceptualized and developed an early version of ERM. It had a secure, Browser-based delivery architecture, a decision flow model with Sales, Business and GAAP Accounting ideas, all using a unified database. As a result, ERM supports virtually every mission-critical business function including MRP, General Ledger Accounting, Financials, Warehouse Management/Inventory Control/Order Tracking, multiple WIPs, three RMAs and Consignment Selling etc.

The Pioneer and The Pretenders

Without realizing it at the time, the Team actually pioneered in the development of the Web-based Software as a Service (SaaS) concept, SaaS CRM SFA, and BAM Business Activity Monitoring (the Executive Dashboard). Observers now refer to these as next-generation software solutions.

We left most other vendors behind with their marketing hype and gimmicks such as:

Contact Management jigged up as CRM
Client-Server Based computing with remote access claimed as Browser-based
To-be Integrated or Integratable offerings disguised as Integrated now; etc.
