BScaler invents a new business process (patent pending) which its Enterprise ResourceManager (ERM) was conceived, developed and in FCS since 2006. Built from a
unified database and platform independent, the ERM is unique in its class for
being:
- Fully
Integrated AS-IS, while other SaaS
solutions are yet to be;
- Truly
browser-based, while others are
client-server-based with remote access;
- Web
native, while others are just some web
wrap around solutions
ERM is
the first and only SaaS PLUS™
having 3 built-in payment options:
- Pay by Subscription (conventional SaaS); or
- Appliance Purchase and manage by Customers; or
- Appliance Purchase by Customers and Hosted / eManage by BScaler
Giving
customers freedom of choice and peace of mind, more particularly so for
small-to-medium sized businesses (SMBs).
Very few, if any, of the current SaaS providers
offer all these three payment options to
customers.
SaaS 2.0
BScaler Continues to Invent SaaS – BAM – SaaS Plus™ – SaaS 2.0
SaaS, according to Wikipedia, is a model of software delivery where the software company provides maintenance, daily technical operation, and support for the software provided to their client. Read more Wikipedia
SaaS is a model of software delivery rather than a market segment; software can be delivered using this method to any market segment including home consumers, small business, medium and large business.
There are two types of SaaS providers: 1. The first has often been referred to as an Application service provider (ASP) where a
customer purchases and brings to a hosting company a copy of software, or the
hosting company offers widely available software for use by customers, making
that available across the web to customer who pays a fee per month for access
to the software.2. The second type of SaaS provider offers what is often called
software on-demand,
where a company offers to customers software specifically built for one-to-many
hosting. This means that one copy of the software is installed for use by many
companies who access the software across the web.
In the first of these types of providers, a licensing
fee and a monthly fee are quite separate being paid to the maker of the
software and the host of the software as appropriate. The second type of
hosting is where there is no division between licensing and hosting fees, and
where there is little to no customization of software for each customer.
BScaler continues to “invent” serious business ideas without realizing their magnitude or the state of the art that we and others are pushing. We came up with ideas forserving business without calling them important inventions: just ideas that take advantage of the latest software and Internet technologies. They were “discoveries” that made sense at the time, in parallel with similar breakthroughs by others. Visionaries
gave the things that we deployed hot new names, and we are happy to apply those names where appropriate.
We do not claim to be the first with these, only that we knew they were good ideas when we came up with them. Who really invented the telephone? Bell was first to the Patent Office, but possibly not the first to talk over wires.
Our list of unintended big-deal creations includes these:
- The Web-Based mission-critical business solution
- Software as a Service – SaaS – by subscription
- BAM – Business Activity Monitoring
- Enterprise Resource Management™
- SaaS Plus™ – The choice of amulti-tenant subscription or full ownership of the ERM Appliance™
- SaaS 2.0 – the “SaaS Shift” model. See http://sandhill.com/opinion/editorial.php?id=80
