ERM for VARs, Resellers and Systems Integrators

After customers, your sales team is your most valuable asset. It also
is the most costly, so if sellers aren’t properly managing your customers and opportunities, the results
will disappoint.
To help sellers work the right customers the right way, companies have begun to
seek web-based front office products called Sales Force Automation (SFA) or Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems. These promise
much but, as they do not access “same database” information with the Back Office, they
can deliver little. An SFA system that automates only quotes,
proposals, sales orders or
forecasts is of little value. Likewise, a CRM system that has no
connection to a customer's history does not contribute much.
With ERM the front office shares the same database with back office disciplines such as inventory management and procurement, invoicing, payment, shipment, credit, vendor payments, and commissions.
